A bit of an update on this… we ran the first enquirers course in Cowshill and nobody came. I have wrestled with that a bit – is it me – or is there no curiosity about Christianity in Cowshill? Does everyone already know what they want to know – have people made their minds up already? I’m just speculating, because I don’t know.
The second enquirers course in Eastgate was two days later, and two people came along. I was surprised – Eastgate is a much smaller community. The question which really sparked the conversation was, “Christianity is it… ” well the word used was a swear word so I won’t type it on the church website. But we took the question seriously. We had fun exploring that.
At the point of typing the next two sessions are late May in Stanhope and then Frosterley…
